Monetize your online community
If you are thinking of building an audience, or already have one, but want to go to the next level, let's talk about what you could do
Building an online community is a lot of hard work but the results are always worth it. You may make a lot of mistakes and improvise, but don't worry, that's okay. Learning about what your community likes and dislikes will help you get closer to your goals.
Focus on building a solid and loyal community, because it is not just being active on social networks that will guide you to achieve your goals. You need to form a relationship of trust with your followers or subscribers and only then will you be able to communicate with them more effectively.
First things first, there are things that you must be clear about and that you have to do before thinking about monetizing:
OFFERS GOOD CONTENT
It is the main thing, people must want to interact with your content, and therefore you must focus on creating useful content that generates value. They will notice that you are offering help and teaching before even offering a product or service. So, do not rush, the time to monetize will come later.
MAKE SURE YOU BUILD A LARGE AUDIENCE
I say it again, do not rush, and do not expect that from the first day you will already monetize, it requires a process. If instead of offering good content you focus on looking to earn quick and easy money, believe me that it is most likely that you will not even get 1 dollar. It may sound frustrating, and there may even be times when you want to give up because you don't see results, but that's the way, and it's the one you chose, in the end it will be worth it.
IS YOUR AUDIENCE ENGAGED ENOUGH?
Let's say you have 50k people following or subscribing, how are you doing with engagement? It is a measure that you have to take into account. I have seen many accounts with hundreds and thousands of people but no engagement (of course, they may have also bought them and many of those are fake) however, if your audience is satisfied with your content, rest assured that they will be engaged with you and more importantly you could serve as a bridge for them to connect with each other.
It's all very well, but perhaps you should be wondering, is it really worth all the work? Is it really profitable? And I can tell you that social networks are spaces where you can sell anything, there are clients for anything, and do you know how many active users there are on each platform? Millions!! And in fact billions!! Of all ages, from all countries, with varied tastes and different needs, so there is a very high potential to definitely be profitable.
The above can be achieved as long as you listen to your audience, learn to understand what it tells you and what it needs, this will serve as a basis for both structuring your content and generating strategies. Remember that although the purpose is to sell, not everything should be oriented towards that, you must find a balance, for example if you sell items to make desserts, everything you post should not be products, you can also create teaching content, so people will see that you add value, in addition to offering them what they need to continue baking.
As you can see, the things that you can implement to monetize are several; I could mention some others, such as:
Courses
Consulting
Events related to your niche
Memberships
And many more, harness the power of digital communities!!
As you get serious about growing your audience, you will gain prestige and build a reputation. Don't stop learning, don't stop creating, and don’t stop dreaming. You already have the motivation, be disciplined and you will see that you will reap what you sow, remember that success is not a matter of luck.
How are you doing on this path? I read you in the comments!
As Mark Twain said:
Stay away from those who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do it, but the truly great ones make you feel that you too can be great.
And i really believe they are great, they have inspired me and I believe they should have the recognition they deserve!
Amazing Sir Daco👏
Love the part of knowing if your audience is engaged enough!
Most people focus on building an audience that doesn’t really care about them, they just follow them.
That’s why I always preach build a community not an audience! Great stuff Daco!
